
MINNEAPOLIS, March 7 (UPI) -- A typically large double-double from Kevin Love Wednesday lifted Minnesota to its third straight victory, 106-94 over Portland.
Love scored 29 points and grabbed 16 rebounds while playing 45 minutes. He is averaging 25 points and 13 rebounds a game this season.
The Timberwolves captured their fifth straight home game and moved two games above .500 with Luke Ridnour adding 22 points and Wesley Johnson contributing 19. Minnesota poured in 13-of-23 shots from 3-point range.
Portland lost for the fourth time in five games and this setback came in the opener of a seven-game road trip that runs through March 18. Portland's road record fell to 5-13.
Raymond Felton had 23 points for the Trail Blazers, who were outscored in every quarter.
