NBA: LA Clippers 108, Sacramento 100

SACRAMENTO, March 2 (UPI) -- Chris Paul had 22 points and nine assists Thursday in powering the Los Angeles Clippers to a dominating second half and a 108-100 victory over Sacramento.

The Clippers had dropped three of their previous four, but opened a six-game road trip on a positive note that allowed them to stay in front of the Los Angeles Lakers at the top of the Pacific Division.

The Clippers broke open a halftime tie and led by as many as 19 points in the game's late stages.

Mo Williams added 18 points for the Clippers, who had six players in double-figure scoring. Los Angeles made half its 24 attempts from 3-point range.

The six road games will take place over nine days and the trip will send the Clippers to Phoenix, Houston, Minnesota, New Jersey and San Antonio.

DeMarcus Cousins scored 25 to lead Sacramento, which had won its previous two games.
