SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 29 (UPI) -- San Jose goaltender Antti Niemi notched his fifth shutout of the season Tuesday with a 1-0 blanking of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Niemi made 26 saves and an early goal by Ryane Clowe was all the Sharks needed to beat the Flyers for the 11th straight time.

Clowe scored the only goal of the game at 1:22 of the first period with assists from Joe Thornton and Brent Burns.

It was all goalies after that with Niemi facing just six shots in both the second and third period. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 22 shots for the Flyers.
