ANAHEIM, Calif., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Derick Brassard's second goal of the game Friday, coming with 1:05 left in overtime, gave the Columbus Blue Jackets a 3-2 victory over Anaheim.
The Blue Jackets snapped a six-game losing streak but their 34 points for the season still leaves them with 11 fewer than any other club in the NHL.
Brassard fired a slap shot past Jonas Hiller to hand the Ducks their eighth overtime loss this season. A quarter of Anaheim's setbacks this year have come in overtime.
Brassard's other goal came with 5:13 left in the second period and rallied Columbus into a 1-1 tie.
Teemu Selanne put Anaheim back in front 2:05 later with his second goal of the contest but Jeff Carter delivered a power-play score early in the third to again tie it.
Curtis Sanford made 33 saves to get the victory. Hiller allowed three goals on 21 shots.
