DALLAS, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Shawn Marion bedeviled his former team with 29 points Monday, sparking the Dallas Mavericks to a 93-87 win over Phoenix.

Marion played more than eight seasons for the Suns and needled his former mates in the second half, when he put in 17 of his points.

Ian Mahinmi contributed 17 and Jason Terry added 12 as the Mavs won their second straight game without superstar Dirk Nowitzki, who again sat out with a sore right knee.

Marcin Gortat and Grant Hill each put in 19 points to pace Phoenix.
