FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady sat out practice Wednesday to nurse his sore left shoulder.
The injury is one Brady has dealt with since last month. He didn't miss any practices last week.
Brady said the Patriots will face "great players" when they play Baltimore for the AFC championship Sunday.
"You always enjoy going up against the best because you can really measure where you're at," Brady said. "You can't take plays off against them."
Brady isn't the only New England player who is dinged up. The Patriots listed 14 players as limited participants in practice Wednesday, among them tight end Aaron Hernandez (concussion), wide receivers Deion Branch (knee) and Wes Welker (knee), guard Logan Mankins (knee), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee), safety Patrick Chung (knee) and offensive tackles Nate Solder (concussion) and Sebastian Vollmer (back/foot).
