FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Rob Gronkowski hauled down a pair of TD passes and ran for another score for New England, which kept Indianapolis winless with a 31-24 victory Sunday.
The scoring grabs, his 12th and 13th of the season, tied Gronkowski with Vernon Davis (2009) and Antonio Gates (2004) for the NFL record for receiving touchdowns by a tight end in a single season.
His rushing touchdown came in the third quarter when he caught a lateral from Tom Brady in the flat and ran in it for a 2-yard score, handing New England (9-3) a 31-3 lead.
Brady racked up 293 passing yards on 29-of-38 efficiency for the AFC East leaders, while Wes Welker made 11 grabs for 114 yards.
Dan Orlovsky started at quarterback for the Colts and responded by going 30-of-37 through the air for 353 yards. He tossed a pair of fourth-quarter touchdown passes and was picked off once.
Indianapolis fell to 0-12 with the loss.
