PHOENIX, Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Paul Goldschmidt had a grand slam and five RBI total Tuesday to help Arizona beat Milwaukee 8-1 and avoid elimination in the National League Division Series.

Miguel Montero drove in two runs and scored twice for the Diamondbacks, who got three hits and two runs scored from Willie Bloomquist in an 11-hit attack.

Josh Collmenter (1-0) held the Brewers to one run on two hits over seven innings -- allowing a home run by Corey Hart and a single by Jerry Hairston Jr. Collmenter struck out six and walked two.

Marcum was charged with seven runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings.

The Brewers lead the best-of-five series 2-1 with Game 4 set for Wednesday in Phoenix.
