Steele, Dufner share PGA Championship lead

JOHNS CREEK, Ga., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Brendan Steele and Jason Dufner each finished at 7-under-par 203 Saturday after three rounds of the PGA Championship, tying them for a one-stoke lead.

Steele fired a 4-under 66 while Dufner, the second-round co-leader, carded a 2-under 68 at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

They wrapped up the day one shot ahead of Keegan Bradley, the other second-round leader, who registered a 1-under 69.

Alone in fourth place at minus-5 was 47-year-old Scott Verplank, who also posted a 69.

Steve Stricker, who tied the major championship scoring record with a 63 in Thursday's first round, fired a 69 as well Saturday, good for sole possession of fifth place at minus-4.
