MLB: St. Louis 10, Houston 5

ST. LOUIS, July 25 (UPI) -- Colby Rasmus drove in three runs and Yadier Molina went 3-for-4 with a homer Monday, sparking the St. Louis Cardinals' 10-5 pasting of Houston.

Rasmus drove in David Freese with a second-inning groundout and belted a two-run shot in the fifth while Molina added a bases-empty homer and an RBI single for St. Louis, which came into the game in a three-way tie with Pittsburgh and Milwaukee atop the National League Central.

Kyle McClellan (7-6) surrendered only one run on six hits over seven frames, walking none and striking out five as the Cardinals took the opener of a three-game series at Busch Stadium.

Astros starter J.A. Happ (4-12) was roughed up for six runs on seven hits, lasting only 4 2/3 innings.

Carlos Lee cracked a grand slam for Houston, which fell to a major league-worst 33-69.
