Ferrero straight-sets Andujar in Stuttgart

STUTTGART, Germany, July 17 (UPI) -- Juan Carlos Ferrero logged a straight-set victory over fellow Spaniard Pablo Andujar Sunday in the championship final of the Mercedes Cup.

Ferrero, a former world No. 1, downed Andujar 6-4, 6-0 while playing in just his third tournament of the year.

The 31-year-old notched his 16th career championship with the victory and his first since August 2010 in Umag, Croatia.

Andujar, meanwhile, fell to 1-2 in career finals.
