MLB: Boston 7, Houston 5

HOUSTON, July 1 (UPI) -- Dustin Pedroia and Adrian Gonzalez each had two RBI during a six-run seventh Friday that rallied the Boston Red Sox to a 7-5 decision over Houston.

The Red Sox managed only one hit over the first six innings against Bud Norris, but then sent 10 men to the plate in the seventh.

Josh Reddick doubled home the first run of the inning and Drew Sutton's infield single brought in another. Pedroia came through with a bases-loaded single to drive in two runs and Gonzalez followed with a two-run double.

Boston had six hits in the inning and only two others during the rest of the game.

Dan Wheeler (1-1), recently activated from the disabled list, recorded the last two outs in the Houston sixth to get the win. Jonathan Papelbon worked the ninth for his 16th save.

The go-ahead run in the Boston sixth was given up by Sergio Escalona (1-1).
