MLB: Boston 12, Milwaukee 3

BOSTON, June 19 (UPI) -- Kevin Youkilis bashed a three-run homer and Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-4 Sunday, powering the Boston Red Sox to a 12-3 interleague rout of Milwaukee.

Pedroia drove in runs with a solo homer and a sacrifice fly, Jacoby Elsbury contributed a two-run double and Adrian Gonzalez added two hits and a pair of RBIs in Boston's 14-hit attack.

Marco Scutaro added a two-run shot for the Bosox, who took the rubber match a three-game set with the Brewers.

Knuckleballer Tim Wakefield (4-2) went eight innings, yielding three runs on three hits while walking one and striking out six for the first-place Red Sox, who came into the game with a 1 1/2-game lead over the Yankees atop the American League East.

Milwaukee's Yovani Gallardo (8-4) was roughed up for eight runs (five earned) on nine hits before being yanked after only three innings.

Nyjer Morgan socked a two-run homer and Prince Fielder added a bases-empty round-tripper, his 20th of the year, for the Brewers.
