SAN DIEGO, June 8 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki doubled home his second and third runs of the game to break a ninth-inning tie Wednesday and give Colorado a 5-3 victory over San Diego.
Colorado has won two of its last three, but the Rockies have gone 6-13 since May 20.
Tulowitzki had an RBI single in the fifth that gave Colorado a 3-1 lead, but the Padres tied it in the sixth when Chase Headley dashed in from third on a wild pitch and Alberto Gonzalez singled home Brad Hawpe.
It was still a 3-3 contest heading into the ninth, which Carlos Gonzalez opened with a single off closer Heath Bell (2-2). Gonzalez moved to second on a sacrifice, Jonathan Herrera drew an intentional walk and Bell threw a wild pitch that put the runners on second and third.
Tulowitzki followed with a double to right that brought home the winning runs.
Matt Lindstrom (1-1) worked a scoreless eighth despite giving up two hits and was credited with the win. Huston Street was perfect in the ninth for his 17th save.
