MLB: San Francisco 2, Colorado 1

SAN FRANCISCO, June 5 (UPI) -- Ryan Vogelsong's eight innings of one-run ball and Andres Torres' go-ahead RBI Sunday carried the San Francisco Giants past Colorado 2-1.

Vogelsong (4-1) broke a personal three-game winless streak, baffling the Rockies on four hits and a walk as the Giants took the won the three-game series at AT&T Park. Vogelsong recorded seven strikeouts.

Brian Wilson set down the Rockies in order in the ninth for his 17th save.

San Francisco broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth when pinch-hitter Pat Burrell drew a lead-off walk from Matt Lindstrom (0-1) and Emmanuel Burriss came in to run for him.

Burriss went to second on Vogelsong's sacrifice, to third on a passed ball and scored on Torres' line drive to right.

Colorado starter Jason Hammel also pitched well, holding the Giants to one run on only two hits through seven innings.

Chris Iannetta homered for the Rockies' only run.
