MLB: San Fran. 7, St. Louis 5 (11 inn.)

ST. LOUIS, June 2 (UPI) -- Nate Schierholtz singled in the tying run in the ninth and the go-ahead run in the 11th Wednesday, sending the San Francisco Giants to a 7-5 win over St. Louis.

The Giants came from behind twice after starter Tim Lincecum was roughed up for five runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings. Lincecum struck out nine, giving him 88 for the season, but his record remained at 5-4 and his earned run average climbed from 2.22 to 2.59.

St. Louis had a 5-4 lead going into the ninth but Fernando Salas gave up a two-out walk to Aubrey Huff, Emmanuel Burriss came on to pinch-run, stole second and then scored the tying run when Schierholtz singled to center.

San Francisco struck again in the 11th on a one-out, ground-rule double by Freddy Sanchez off Ryan Franklin (1-4) and another RBI single from Schierholtz. Schierholtz advanced to second on the throw home and scored on a base hit by Brandon Crawford.

Sergio Romo (3-0) got the win by working the 10th and Brian Wilson collected his 15th save despite allowing two hits in the 11th. One of those hits was erased in a double play, but St. Louis had a runner on first and the potential tying run at the plate when several banks of lights went out.

The game was delayed 15 minutes and when it resumed Wilson needed only one more pitch to record the final out of the contest.
