MLB: Florida 5, Arizona 2

PHOENIX, June 1 (UPI) -- Anibal Sanchez drove in a pair of runs and turned in eight solid innings on the mound Tuesday to lead the Florida Marlins past Arizona 5-2.

Sanchez (5-1) surrendered two runs on six hits and struck out eight en route to his fifth consecutive win.

Gaby Sanchez and Logan Morrison hit solo home runs for the Marlins. Leo Nunez pitched the ninth for his 19th save.

Arizona, which had won seven in a row, had solo home runs from Justin Upton and Kelly Johnson.

Ian Kennedy (6-2) was hung with his first loss since April 13. He gave up three runs on five hits in five innings.

Arizona took an early 1-0 lead on Upton's two-out home run, his 11th of the season. Florida took the lead with two runs in the fourth and added single runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to make it 5-1.
