MLB: Toronto 13, Chicago White Sox 4

TORONTO, May 29 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill socked a grand slam homer Sunday, one of three Toronto blasts that carried the Blue Jays to a 13-4 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Corey Patterson and Edwin Encarnacion also went deep as the Blue Jays pounded out a season-high 18 hits in downing the Chisox for the third time in four games.

Patterson went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored while Encarnacion finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Toronto's win, which went to Ricky Romero (5-4) after he allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings.

White Sox starter John Danks (0-8) remained winless, becoming the first Chicago starter to open a season 0-8 since Eddie Smith did so 1942 (0-10). He was pounded for nine runs on nine hits over four frames.

Chicago got homers from Carlos Quentin and Ramon Castro in its fourth loss over five games.
