MVP Rose leads All-NBA first team

NEW YORK, May 12 (UPI) -- League MVP Derrick Rose of Chicago led the All-NBA first team announced by league officials Thursday in New York.

Joining Rose on the elite squad were LeBron James of Miami, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers, Dwight Howard of Orlando and Kevin Durant of Oklahoma City.

It was Rose's first time on the first team. James, the lone unanimous choice, earned first-team honors for the fourth straight year and fifth time overall. Bryant made it for the sixth straight season and ninth time in his career. Howard was voted to the first team for the fourth consecutive year and Durant for a second time.

Named to the second team were Miami's Dwyane Wade, Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, the Lakers' Pau Gasol, Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki and New York's Amare Stoudemire.

The third team consists of Manu Ginobili of San Antonio, New Orleans' Chris Paul,Memphis' Zach Randolph, Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge and Atlanta's Al Horford.
