MIAMI, April 8 (UPI) -- A pair of 27-point performances from Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh Friday lifted the Miami Heat to a 112-103 victory over Charlotte.

Miami fell out of the chase for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference Friday when Chicago wrapped up that honor. The Heat, however, remained tied with Boston for second place in the conference race and will visit the Celtics Sunday.

Wade returned after missing Wednesday's loss to Milwaukee with a thigh injury. He made 15-of-16 from the foul line while the Heat hit 31-of-35 overall.

Bosh contributed 10 rebounds and LeBron James had 23 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

Charlotte suffered its fifth straight loss. Kwame Brown led the Bobcats with a season-best 23 points while Garrett Temple produced 14 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter.
