MLB: Florida 3, Washington 2 (10 innings)

MIAMI, April 6 (UPI) -- Donnie Murphy lined an RBI single in the 10th inning Tuesday, handing the Florida Marlins a 3-2 victory over Washington.

Murphy's second of the game drove in Omar Infante and lifted the Marlins to a win in the first of a three-game series against the Nationals.

Logan Morrison homered and doubled and Edward Mujica (1-0) collected the win for Florida with two strikeouts during a perfect 10th inning.

Marlins starter Anibal Sanchez got a no-decision after yielding two runs on seven hits while fanning seven over 5 2/3 innings.

The Nationals got a home run from Ryan Zimmerman in their third loss in four games to start the season.

Drew Storen (0-1) absorbed the loss after loading the bases in the 10th, which put the winning run in scoring position.
