NBA: New York 91, Miami 86

MIAMI, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points Sunday, helping the New York Knicks post a 91-86 victory over Miami.

Anthony also added nine rebounds. Chauncey Billups -- who along with Anthony came to the Knicks from Denver in a blockbuster trade last week -- added 16 points.

Amare Stoudemire also netted 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for New York. He blocked LeBron James's potential go-ahead layup with 7.9 seconds remaining to preserve the Knicks' win.

James finished with 27 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Heat, who lost for the second time in three games.

Chris Bosh led Miami with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
