WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Scoop Jardine scored 17 points for No. 20 Syracuse Saturday and the Orange hung on for a 58-51 victory over No. 11 Georgetown.
Brandon Triche sealed the win with four crucial free throws in the final minute and Rick Jackson chipped in with 12 points for Syracuse (24-6, 11-6 Big East).

Triche ended up with nine points and the Orange kept their hopes for a double-bye in the Big East Tournament alive with their fourth straight win.
Syracuse now goes on to close the regular season at home against DePaul next week.
Georgetown (21-8, 10-7), meanwhile, dropped its third game in four contests.
Austin Freeman scored 16 points for the Hoyas, who were without injured point guard Chris Wright.
