NEW YORK, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- The New York Daily News reported Friday Carmelo Anthony would visit with the owners of both the New York and New Jersey franchises this weekend.

Anthony, the subject of constant trade rumors this season, promptly denied the report.

Another story from Yahoo! Sports said the Knicks had made an official trade offer to the Denver Nuggets for Anthony. That report said the deal also would send Chauncey Billups to the Knicks with New York sending Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler and this year's first-round draft pick to Denver.

Anthony is in Los Angeles for Sunday's all-star game and the Daily News said separate talks had been set up with New Jersey owner Mikhail Prokhorov and New York owner James Dolan.

"No meeting has been set, so honestly I really don't know where that came from," Anthony said in Los Angeles. "I'm ready for something to just happen. I'm just ready for this whole thing to just be over with."

Anthony will become a free agent this summer and has been offered a contract extension by the Nuggets. He is in his eighth year with Denver and has averaged 25.2 points a game in 50 contests this season.
