NHL: N.Y. Rangers 4, Los Angeles 3 (SO)

NEW YORK, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Erik Christensen and Mats Zuccarello scored in the first two rounds of the shootout Thursday to give the New York Rangers a 4-3 win over Los Angeles.

The Rangers have won back-to-back contests for the first time in February after suffering through a season-worst, six-game losing streak. Los Angeles had won three in a row, but has still recorded at least one point in the first eight games (5-0-3) of a 10-game road trip.

New York twice overcame a one-goal deficit in the third period, the second time coming when Dustin Brown scored with 2:21 to go in regulation. It was Brown's second goal of the game and his 20th of the season.

The goals by Christensen and Zuccarello gave New York a 2-1 lead in the shootout and the Rangers clinched the win when Henrik Lundqvist stopped an attempt by Anze Kopitar.

Lundqvist made 25 saves for his first victory since Jan. 22. Jonathan Bernier took the loss while stopping 34 shots.
