NBA: Charlotte 114, Phoenix 107

PHOENIX, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- D.J. Augustin's two free throws with 1:49 to play were the last points of the game Wednesday and finished off a 114-107 win for Charlotte over Phoenix.

Steve Nash hit a 3-pointer with 3:08 to go to bring the Suns within three but they were unable to score another point. Phoenix missed the only three shots it took over the last 3 minutes and turned the ball over once.

Stephen Jackson scored 23 points to go with seven rebounds for the Bobcats, who have won two in a row to start a six-game road trip. Gerald Wallace added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Boris Diaw had 18 points.

Phoenix opened a five-game homestand with its third straight loss. Nash scored 27 points and had 15 assists. Vince Carter pitched in 22 points for the Suns and moved past Tom Chambers into 36th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list with 20,068.
