NHL: Boston 6, Colorado 2

DENVER, Jan. 22 (UPI) -- Brad Marchand and Milan Lucic each scored a pair of goals Saturday and the Boston Bruins cruised to a 6-2 rout of Colorado.

Marchand added a pair of assists, Patrice Bergeron contributed a goal and two assists, and Mark Recchi added one goal and one helper as the Bruins won for the sixth time in eight games.

Bruins netminder Tim Thomas collected his fifth straight win with a 32-save performance.

Colorado, which fell to 1-2-0 on its current five-game home stand, got goals from Paul Stastny and Kevin Shattenkirk.

The Avs pulled Craig Anderson after two periods, during which he yielded four goals on 28 shots. Peter Budaj then came in, allowing a goal on 11 shots the rest of the way.
