NHL: Chicago 4, Colorado 0

CHICAGO, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- Corey Crawford turned in his second shutout in as many starts Wednesday, making 24 saves in lifting the Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-0 victory over Colorado.

Crawford stopped 29 shots Sunday against the New York Islanders. He has three shutouts in 32 career NHL appearances.

Chicago took control of the game with goals by Troy Brouwer and Dave Bolland 40 seconds apart in the first period. Fernando Pisani scored in the second period and Jack Skille added a third-period goal to cap the scoring in the Blackhawks' fourth win in five games.

Peter Budaj stopped 27 shots for Colorado, which has lost five out of seven.

This was the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the teams and Colorado had won the first three. The Avalanche had scored 15 goals in those three games.
