COL BKB: Florida 79, Florida Atlantic 66

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Kenny Boynton and Alex Tyus teamed up for 40 points Tuesday and No. 14 Florida bested Florida Atlantic 79-66.

The Gators (4-1) were only up by two points at the half and didn't put the game away until Chandler Parsons connected on a 3-pointer with 2:58 to play, giving Florida a 70-59 lead.

Boynton scored 21 points and Tyus contributed 19 points and seven rebounds while Erving Walker chipped in with 14 points and six boards for the victors.

Florida Atlantic (3-3) benefited from Greg Gantt's 17 points and Raymond Taylor collected 13 in the defeat.
