NHL: Ottawa 3, Los Angeles 2

OTTAWA, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Jason Spezza's tie-breaking, third-period tally completed an Ottawa rally and boosted the Senators to a 3-2 win over Los Angeles.

Trailing 2-1 late in the second period, Milan Michalek scored with 56 seconds left and Spezza got the eventual game-winner midway through the final frame, enabling Ottawa to break a three-game losing streak.

Alexei Kovalev's goal and assist for the Sens allowed him to surpass the 1,000 career point mark and Pascal Leclaire made 28 saves to earn the victory.

The Kings, meanwhile, went down to defeat for the fourth time in five games.

Ande Kopitar and Ryan Smyth got goals for Los Angeles and Jonathan Quick absorbed the loss, yielding three goals on just 19 shots.

The Kings appeared to have netted the tying goal with three seconds left but a lengthy video review upheld the "no goal" call on the ice due to a high stick.
