NHL: Florida 2, Atlanta 1

ATLANTA, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Tomas Vokoun allowed only a first-period goal Wednesday and stopped 38 shots in carrying Florida to a 2-1 win over Atlanta.

The Panthers have won four of their last six and Vokoun has captured his last three starts while allowing a total of three goals in those games.

Zach Bogosian scored his first goal of the season 7:18 into the game to put Atlanta in front. It was the 20th goal of his three-year career.

Vokoun then closed things down and Florida rallied in the second period on scores by Steve Weiss and Radek Dvorak. It was the fourth goal of the year for both.

Ondrej Pavelec made 32 saves in taking the loss. Atlanta has dropped three in a row and six out of seven.
