COL BKB: Louisville 88, Butler 73

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Rakeem Buckles popped in 17 points and collected 11 rebounds Tuesday, helping Louisville bounce No. 18 Butler 88-73.

Louisville (1-0) started the game with an 11-2 run punctuated by Buckles' 3-pointer and never looked back in its season opener.

Terrence Jennings added 13 points, hauled down eight rebounds and blocked four shots while Preston Knowles and Elisha Justice came off the bench to score 12 points apiece for the Redbirds.

Shelvin Mack led all scorers with 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Matt Howard added 23 points for Butler (1-1).
