DETROIT, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Todd Bertuzzi scored Detroit's first goal and assisted on another Saturday, lifting the Red Wings to a 3-1 win over Colorado.

Bertuzzi's power play goal 12:58 into the game gave the Wings a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Jiri Hudler's first goal of the season 30 seconds into the second frame made it 2-0 Detroit and Bertuzzi got the only assist on Dan Cleary's score 5 minutes later.

Jimmy Howard stopped 21 shots for Detroit, which won for the fifth time in six games.

John-Michael Liles had Colorado's lone goal and Peter Budaj blocked 22-of-25 shots in the setback.
