HOUSTON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Tommy Manzella's two RBI backed Nelson Figueroa's six scoreless innings Sunday in Houston's 4-0 blanking of the Chicago Cubs in the teams' season finales.

Figueroa (7-4) made a start in place of Wandy Rodriguez, who complained of back problems. He responded by holding the Cubs to six hits and two walks while fanning eight.

The Astros finished the season 76-86, good for fourth place in the National League Central.

Cubs starter Ryan Dempster (15-12) surrendered four runs (three earned) on nine hits, striking out seven and walking one to absorb the defeat.

The Cubs ended the year at 75-87 and in fifth in the NL Central.
