AUBURN, Ala., Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Wes Byrum's 39-yard field goal in overtime gave No. 15 Auburn the lead and the Tigers hung on to edge Clemson 27-24 Saturday.
Clemson's Chandler Catanzaro missed a 31-yard attempt later in the extra session, letting Auburn (3-0) slip away with the victory.

Cameron Newton passed for 203 yards and two touchdowns and Onterio McCalebb rushed for 81 yards and a score on 10 carries in the Tigers' victory.
Clemson quarterback Kyle Parker went 21-of-35 through the air, gaining 227 yards and notching two touchdowns.
Jamie Harper hauled down a pair of TD catches and Andre Ellington rushed 140 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries for Clemson (2-1).
