EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Eli Manning connected with Hakeem Nicks for three touchdown passes Sunday and the New York Giants rolled to a 31-18 win over Carolina.
Manning survived three interceptions and went 20-of-30 through the air for 263 yards as the Giants (1-0) won the first regular season NFL game at the New Meadowlands Stadium.

Ahmad Bradshaw carried the ball for 76 yards and a touchdown, helping New York overcome a slow first half in which the Giants managed only 8 yards rushing.
The Panthers (0-1) were paced by Matt Moore's 14-of-33 passing performance for 182 yards and a touchdown. But Moore was bedeviled by three interceptions.
