MLB: Texas 6, Baltimore 4

BALTIMORE, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Josh Hamilton and Vladimir Guerrero each smashed three-run homers Sunday and the Texas Rangers defeated Baltimore 6-4.

Hamilton's blast handed the Rangers a quick 3-0 lead in the first inning and Guerrero added a three-run shot in the fifth, giving the first-place Rangers split a four-game spilt in their weekend series at soggy Camden Yards.

Hamilton's homer was his 28th of the year and he went 2-for-4 to raise his major league-best batting average to .357.

Tommy Hunter (10-2) rebounded from four straight sub par starts, limiting the O's to three runs on five hits through eight innings, yielding no walks.

Kevin Millwood (2-14) surrendered six runs on six hits over six frames for Baltimore.

Luke Scott and Ty Wigginton went deep for the O's.
