MLB: San Fran. 4, Chi. Cubs 3 (11 innings)

SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 10 (UPI) -- Pat Burrell's bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the 11th inning Monday sent the San Francisco Giants to a 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs.

Burrell finished with two doubles and a pair of walks in the opening game of the four-game series. He's hitting .361 with seven doubles in his last 13 games.

Andres Torres contributed two hits and an RBI for the Giants.

The loss was tagged on the Cubs' Marco Mateo (0-1) in his major league debut.
