MLB: San Francisco 10, Colorado 0

DENVER, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Jonathan Sanchez pitched six scoreless innings and the San Francisco Giants cruised to 10-0 win over Colorado Tuesday.

Sanchez (8-6) allowed three hits and struck out nine for his first win since July 5.

Pat Burrell, Andres Torres and Freddy Sanchez homered and Buster Posey had three RBI for the Giants, who outhit the Rockies 19-3 and won for the 10th time in their last 12 games.

The victory pulled the Giants to one game behind first-place San Diego in the National League West.

The loss went to Aaron Cook (4-8), who allowed five runs on eight hits in three innings in his third straight loss. Colorado had its four-game winning streak snuffed out.
