Former NBA player Orlando Woolridge arrested for theft
BALTIMORE, July 21 (UPI) -- Julio Lugo singled in the winning in the 13th inning Tuesday to give the Baltimore Orioles an 11-10 victory over Tampa Bay.
The Orioles rallied to tie the game in the ninth and again in the 12th before Lugo rapped a one-out single down the right field line off Lance Cormier (3-2) that sent Cesar Izturis home from second to put an end to a game that lasted 4 hours, 38 minutes.
Koji Uehara (1-0) went 1 1/3 scoreless innings for the win. He was one of six pitchers to work for the Orioles Tuesday.
Luke Scott had two home runs for the Orioles, who outhit the Rays 16-9. Scott, Ty Wigginton and Adam Jones hit three consecutive solo home runs in the second inning for Baltimore.
Willy Aybar had two hits and three RBI for the Rays, who lost for just the second time in five games. B.J. Upton, Matt Joyce and Reid Brignac all homered for Tampa Bay.
