ARLINGTON, Texas, July 6 (UPI) -- C.J. Wilson held the Indians to one run in six innings and benefited from a 17-hit Texas attack in the Rangers' 12-1 rout of Cleveland.
Wilson (7-4) surrendered only two hits and struck out four, rebounding from a tough-luck 2-1 loss in his previous start against the Los Angeles Angels.
Wilson got plenty of offensive support from his teammates Tuesday. Joaquin Arias knocked in a career-high four runs while Nelson Cruz, Vladimir Guerrero and Josh Hamilton all homered to give Texas only its second win in July.
Cleveland starter Justin Masterson (3-8) absorbed the loss, yielding seven runs, nine hits and three walks in 5 1/3 frames.
The game was delayed for 16 minutes after a fan fell over the second deck railing while reaching to catch a foul ball. Paramedics tended to the fan, who was able to move all his extremities after being taken to a local hospital.
