MLB: New York Yankees 4, Baltimore 1

NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- Randy Winn socked a three-run homer and CC Sabathia went eight innings Monday, boosting the New York Yankees to a 4-1 win over Baltimore.

Winn's blast highlighted a four-run fourth inning that also saw Nick Swisher notch an RBI single en route to a 3-for-3 night as the Yankees won for the fifth time in six games.

Sabathia (4-1) held the Orioles to one run, allowing six hits, walking two and striking out two after giving up only three runs in 7 2/3 innings in his previous start -- also a win against the Orioles.

Matt Wieters hit a solo homer in the second inning for the Orioles' only run. Jeremy Guthrie (0-4) absorbed the loss after allowing four runs on six hits.
