New York built a 6-0 lead thanks in part to Swisher's triple during a three-run second and a solo homer from Robinson Cano in the third.

Derek Jeter posted his 442nd double, moving him into a tie for third with Don Mattingly on the franchise's all-time list.

Jeremy Guthrie (0-3) was roughed up for six hits and seven runs in 4 2/3. Baltimore was coming off its first two-game winning streak of the season.

New York has led after six innings 11 times this season and the Yankees have won all of those games.
