NASHVILLE, March 14 (UPI) -- John Wall hit a key 3-point basket late in overtime Sunday, boosting No. 2 Kentucky to a 75-74 win over Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament final.

Wall finished with 17 points and DeMarcus Cousins connected on a buzzer-beater in regulation to send the contest into overtime as the Wildcats (32-2) claimed their record 26th SEC crown and all but wrapped up a top seed at this week's NCAA Tournament.

Eric Bledsoe led Kentucky with 18 points.

Mississippi State (23-11), the defending tourney champion, was led by Ravern Johnson with 20 points in the loss.
