NBA: Atlanta 112, Detroit 99

ATLANTA, March 13 (UPI) -- Joe Johnson put in with 26 points and Josh Smith added 18 Saturday as the Atlanta Hawks sped past Detroit 112-99.

Smith dished off a career-high 11 assists for the Hawks, which posted the win by shooting a season-high 63 percent and making 7-of-14 from 3-point territory.

Jamal Crawford connected all three of his shots from beyond the arc en route to 17 points in the Atlanta win.

Jason Maxiell put in 19 points and grabbed 12 boards while Richard Hamilton scored 18 points and Will Bynum chipped in with 16 and seven assists for the Pistons.
