COL BKB: Georgia Tech 98, Kentucky St. 50

ATLANTA, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- No. 22 Georgia Tech used a balanced attack led by Glen Rice Jr.'s 15 points to cruise past Kentucky State 98-50 Saturday.

The Yellow Jackets (16-5) also got 14 points from D-Andre Bell, and 11 apiece from Gani Lawal and Lance Storrs.

The Thorobreds (4-13) got 16 points from Jarrod Gay.

Kentucky State was in this one for the first several minutes until Georgia Tech went on a 12-0 tear that gave the Yellow Jackets a 29-15 lead and a 13-1 run that propelled them to a 54-29 margin at halftime.

It only got worse for the Thorobreds, with Georgia Tech scoring the first eight points of the second half.
