NEW YORK, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- Washington's London Fletcher, Cleveland's Mike Furrey and Brian Waters of Kansas City are the finalists for the NFL's Man of the Year Award.

Each of the finalists, chosen Sunday from 32 nominees, will receive a $1,000 donation to the charity of his choice, and the winner gets a $20,000 donation in his name.

Fletcher, a linebacker, has never earned a Pro Bowl nod in his 12-year career, but has led the league in tackles with more than 100 each season over the last decade without missing a game.

His non-football activities include London's Bridge, which addresses inequities facing children.

Furrey, a wide receiver, created the Mike Furrey Foundation last year and spends time supporting charitable causes, provides inspiration for children in hospitals and is a mentor for youngsters in children's homes, tackling hunger and nutrition issues.

Waters, a guard for the Chiefs, has the Brian Waters 54 Foundation, which assists in back-to-school programs and works with the Special Olympics.
