MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Boston's Rajon Rondo and Kendrick Perkins hit key shots in the closing minutes Wednesday and the unbeaten Celtics edged Minnesota 92-90.
Rondo ended up with 18 points and Perkins and Ray Allen had 13 apiece for the Celtics, who are off to a 6-0 start in the 2009-10 season.
A layup by Rondo sent the Celtics ahead 89-88 with 4:18 left. Perkins hit a layup and a free throw to keep Boston in front.
Oleksiy Pecherov scored 24 points and Al Jefferson had 18 for the Timberwolves, who have dropped four straight contests.
