PHOENIX, Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Adrian Aucoin scored 1:57 into overtime Thursday, giving Phoenix a 3-2 win over Detroit and extending the Coyotes' winning streak to four games.

Phoenix had not won four games in a row in almost two years.

Ilya Bryzgalov improved to 6-1, shutting out the Red Wings for the final 33 minutes and making 25 saves.

Petr Prucha lifted Phoenix into a 2-2 tie with 2:40 remaining in regulation, snapping a wrist shot past Chris Osgood.

Osgood had been the winning goaltender in each of Detroit's last five games against Phoenix.

The two-time defending Western Conference champion Red Wings have lost five of their first eight this season.
