COL FB: Purdue 26, Ohio State18

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Keith Smith compiled 125 receiving yards and Carson Wiggs kicked four field goals Saturday, leading Purdue to a 26-18 Big Ten upset of No. 7 Ohio State.

Smith caught 12 passes in all.

Quarterback Joey Elliott completed 31-of-50 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, while Aaron Valentin scored twice after 10 receptions for 97 yards for the Boilermakers (2-5, 1-2), who snapped a five-game losing streak.

In its first victory in seven games against OSU, Purdue's defense forced five turnovers.

Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor completed 17-of-31 passes for 221 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions and two lost fumbles.

DeVier Posey had a touchdown on nine catches for 87 yards and Pryor rushed for a first-quarter touchdown for the Buckeyes (5-2, 3-1), who failed to extend their 16-game Big Ten road winning streak.
